Before the appointment
The homeowner team first confirms the address, single-family property type and whether full asphalt-shingle replacement is under consideration. That quick fit check protects your time and helps the consultant prepare for the property.
Have the address, approximate roof age if known, current concerns and access details available. If another homeowner shares the decision, invite that person to participate when practical.
The consultant does not need to walk the roof
Upstanding sales consultants do not walk roofs. The property can be evaluated through approved methods selected for the home and conditions:
- Ground photos for visible elevations, edges and exterior context
- Ladder-side photos from an approved edge position when appropriate
- Drone imagery for aerial views of roof planes and hard-to-see areas
- Attic observations when accessible and useful to the conversation
- Hover and QuickMeasure for digital property information and measurement support
Not every method is required for every home. The point is to gather the information needed for a responsible next step.
From property information to choices
If the project fits Upstanding’s focus, the conversation moves to Good, Better and Best roofing-system options. You can compare GAF Timberline HDZ, an Enhanced HDZ system and GAF Timberline UHDZ based on essential protection, balanced value and premium appearance.
Warranty and financing questions should be discussed alongside the roof—not as isolated sales pitches. Qualifying systems may include GAF System Plus 50-year coverage, and Upstanding provides its Lifetime No Leak warranty subject to written terms. GoodLeap options can be explored before the final roof choice.
Know the next confirmed action
After the consultation, you should understand what information was gathered, what still needs confirmation and how the proposed system relates to the home. The proposal should identify the actual products, components, selections and project terms. If you are not ready, use the information to keep comparing.
